WHAT DOES A PERSONAL CHEF DO?

The first step is your initial consultation and Nutritional Assessment. Together we plan the menu according to your tastes preferences and dietary needs.. All meals are prepared in your own kitchen or off-site and delivered. I will use your cooking equipment or I bring my own. I do the shopping prior to arriving at your home; I then prepare the items from the menu. The meals are packaged and stored in the refrigerator or freezer according to your instructions. I do the clean up and that's it.

WHAT KINDS OF FOOD CAN YOU PREPARE?
I am skilled in many cuisines. My specialties are Mediterranean (Italian, French etc.), and Asian. The variety of recipes available are endless. I am able to create any dish that you may desire.

My focus is on nutritional balance and ingredient quality.  Seasonal produce, fresh herbs & spices, lean cuts of meat, these all add up to flavorful and healthy food.  Most of my recipes would be considered low-fat, low cholesterol meals.

I am also familiar with Atkins, Weight Watchers,  and South Beach Diets, and can prepare meals according to their guidelines.

HOW OFTEN WOULD YOU BE COOKING FOR US?
You can schedule your cook days on a weekly, bi-weekly, or on an as-needed basis.  All meals are prepared on the scheduled cook day.  It takes 4 to 5 hours to prepare the weeks' meals.

WHAT BACKGROUND DO YOU HAVE IN FOOD SERVICE?
As mentioned in my profile, I am a graduate of the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, with graduate courses in nutrition from the Culinary Institute of America, St. Helena, CA. I have 5 years experience in Corporate Food Service Management, 13 years as a Personal Chef.

I am also Serve Safe Certified for food handling.

WHAT ARE THE RATES, AND HOW AM I BILLED FOR YOUR SERVICE?
For the weekly meal preparation service, there is a 4 meal minimum order (each meal has 4 adult servings).  The cost is $360, which includes the cost of ingredients and packaging.  Each additional 4 serving meal is $85. There is a $15 charge for delivery.

Catered Events and Cooking Instruction is charged at $60 per hour plus food cost.

Additional charges for Service Staff.

Payment is due in full upon receipt.
